New Music Podcast Episode 2: An Interview with 70s Inspired 4-piece Lashes

Podcast EP2 LASHES

If you’re searching for something reminiscent of classic rock, then look no further than 70s inspired 4-piece, Lashes. Influenced by the likes of The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and The Faces, these guys are bringing back the old-school sound that got us to where we are today.

Lashes

Having previously uploaded 4 original singles, including their energetic debut track, Thank You for The Love, Lashes have finally released their first EP entitled Circles. Feeling as though they have fittingly “come full circle”, the 6-track mini album represents Lashes’ true sonic form.

My personal favourite, Son of a Gun, the fourth song on Circles, is an effortlessly cool Fleetwood Mac-like anthem that immediately demands attention with its addictive beat.   Dusted with harmonies throughout, acoustic and electric guitar layering and powerhouse female vocals that complement the husky voice of lead singer Harry White; Son of a Gun is certainly one to clap hands and stomp feet to.

Lashes live

Known for high-energy live shows and getting royally lashed (drunk ?), Lashes are a band that, despite having a substantial discography already, are only just getting started. I managed to have a chat with vocalist, Harry White and guitarist, Louis Skinner about writing, recording and performing their new EP. Have a listen below to hear the process, along with the track Son of a Gun in full.

Once you’ve had a listen to this Podcast, check out the music video for the title track Circles, then follow their socials and head to the Lashes Spotify to hear the entirety of the EP.
