Having already won 3 ‘Ohio Music Awards’ for Best Singer-Songwriter and Best Pop Song in 2016 and 2018, MAD SOUND Records is proud to announce the release of Charlie John’s next project – A four song EP entitled ‘My Messy Mind’, which was released Friday June 5th!
Inspired by OneRepublic, Ed Sheeran and Jack Garratt, the EP is a bold new imagining of the Pop Genre. The edgy guitar and lyrics set him apart from his contemporaries and align with the overall theme of the EP – Anxiety.

While Covington, KY based Pop Artist Charlie John has been featured many times in local press such as CincyMusic, CityBeat, WCPO and Local 12, John feels that this will be his biggest release yet and his most personal. The 4 songs paint a picture of an anxiety ridden society and life within it. The EP was co-written and produced by his father Bill Millikin, who’s a professional Music Composer and Producer of 30 plus years, and Kevin Stokley, a local producer and musician in his own right. Charlie is also currently working on remixing some of the tracks with local Cincy rapper HoodyTime. Combined, these ingredients have generated a genre-bending batch of songs.
Charlie John is currently touring with the new EP and will be live streaming a show on the CincyMusic Facebook page on June 26th at 7pm EST
