Danny George - Embrace - Indie Music Contest April 2020
With 'Embrace', Danny George further demonstrates his prowess as a versatile multi- instrumentalist as well as a maturing song writer with an effervescent soul, expertly capturing the feeling of falling in and out of love in this modern digital age. The soulful and melancholy single marks the completion of his Crushed Comfort EP (arriving April 3, 2020), a six song project capturing a narrative of dependence and the darker side of romance. “[Embrace] Started off as a top-line, co-written with my talented friend and songwriter Annabelle Mitchell. I rediscovered this one when I started collecting tracks for this EP, and it really stood out as the opener. Both musically and lyrically the track captures the energetic and addictive feeling of blind lust. The bipolar pulls of uncertainty when you first meet someone new, accompanied by the obsessive pursuit of romance.” Seemingly always onto the next project at hand, George has been making waves as a producer and writer these last few years, working with promising newcomers Ayelle, Malory and Latir amongst others. The resulting music has garnered him a PRS for Music Production Music Award (2019 - Best Acoustic/ Pop Rock Track) as well as write ups by Wonderland, Clash, The 405, The Line of Best Fit and Dork. With his own music now very much in the forefront, George is quickly emerging as an artist in his own right. The initial releases from his debut EP have garnered compliments from Complex, Fame Magazine, About To Blow and KALTBLUT. amongst many others. The same singles have since gone on to gain nearly one million cumulative streams across all relevant platforms. And with the conclusion of the Crushed Comfort EP, George is proud to share that he is hard at work on a follow up project.
