Sunflower is a sad love song made for a guy I liked for my first love, asking for his forgiveness after I hurt him. “Cause a sunflower cant rise if the sun don’t shine so don’t leave the moon to cover up my day” as you must know a sunflower depends on the sun to be able to rise and that’s how I felt about him, he was my sun. “The time has been so cloudy, and the moon will not get out” when he got mad he didn’t talk to me for about 3 months, and that’s when I felt like there was no more love just and complete darkness I felt like a sunflower with no sun. “I’ve hurt cause I’m afraid to fall like a battle I’ve had my wounds in love” this is one of my favorite phrases in the hole song cause I feel like everyone can relate, we all made mistakes and we all been hurt, so giving you all is harder when you have been wounded by someone or something.
