"Truth's a Little Mean" is the title track to Nashville alt pop artist and songwriter, Frankie Orella's newest EP, "Sad In Paradise." This single is an intense, emotional track about manipulative relationships with a surprising combination of modern pop production and intimate, croony vocals featuring vintage rock elements. It was written with fellow Nashville songwriters, Leslie Jordan and Mitch Parks, and produced by Mitch Parks. “If you’re in a toxic relationship of any kind, it’s easy to assume you’re the crazy person and question your sanity,” said Orella. “This song was written with that perspective in mind and felt like the perfect title track to introduce the rest of the EP.”
