Wars are raging around the world, but why are there so few anti-war songs written by songwriters these days? This was the thought of Finn Quiet, already back on Monday, July 16th, 2018 in Helsinki, when two world leaders met. That moment gave birth to the sad anti-war love song Miracles. Now, more than seven years later, it feels as if nothing has changed – at least not for the better.
When Finn Quiet became active in 2025, they decided to release Miracles as their first single due to its continuing relevance, even though the song might not best represent the artist's overall sound or hold the most hit potential as a fragile and unpolished acoustic performance. Nevertheless, the song is captivating, growing toward the end, and Finn Quiet manages to convey a powerful emotion – disappointment. Things weren’t really bad enough to justify starting a war.
Finn Quiet is an artist from Turku, Finland, creating melodic and melancholic music that blends Folk, Britpop, ABBA, and “all good melancholic music”. Their album will be released in the winter, preceded by several singles, with Miracles and its music video being the first.
