The Chichester alternative rock trio Social Haul are sharing their new propulsive track ‘This is All I Need,’ from their upcoming self-titled debut album set to release June 11th on FatCat Records.
Social Haul wiggle with a basement pub’s aplomb. Frontman Leigh Padley says the track rose from his bar escapades after band practices. ‘This Is All I Need' “is about the positives of nurturing an adaptable persona. Here our protagonist recognizes that others will only open up to new ideas if initially they are rewarded sympathy for their current standpoint. Is it therefore fake or even wrong to hold malleable ideals to reach out to others? At the risk of an identity crisis our protagonist finds a good vantage point by sitting on a few fences. Observing everyone just plodding along towards oblivion as that is the destination of all available routes. Sort of like those films Green Street and Donnie Brasco.”
Padley’s introspection is layered beneath the bombastic cut. Social Haul marry a tight post-punk rhythm with harmonious guitar lines.
Social Haul will headline a five-date UK Tour this fall. ‘This Is All I Need” is available on all streaming platforms. Pre-order their LP here and purchase tickets for September UK tour here.

Wow! Nice angry gothy vibe. This would go off live, hope to catch these guys playing sometime!
Sounds fab! Hopefully they’ll get to Scotland sometime.
Sounds good, would love to see a video for this though, someone needs to get in touch with Guy Ritchie circa 2000
What a vibe! Look forward to seeing them live!
Cool track. Adding it to my playlist.
Wow! Beautiful review for a wonderful track!
Very refreshing vibe, somewhere in the middle between milder exposure to Queens Of The Stone Age and Franz Ferdinand with a dose of pop. Very interesting and addictive.
Added to my playlist. I love the production on the vocals. Definitely getting a 00’s vibe from them and I love it!!
